Q1. What are treenets made from?
Treenets are made from Static Rope and Paracord 550. We also use trees and structures as our reliable anchor points.
Q2. Are treenets safe and strong?
Treenets are incredibly strong and built with safety as a top priority. Each strand of static rope is rated to hold up to 1,500 kg, and every string of paracord is rated to 250 kg, creating a structure that’s both resilient and reliable.
There is no fixed weight limit—the strength of each Treenet is ultimately determined by the anchors that support it. When installed correctly, you can trust your Treenet to safely hold multiple people with ease.
Q3. How long will an outdoor treenet last ?
We estimate that an outdoor Treenet Platform can last between 5 to 6 years, though its longevity can vary depending on several environmental factors.
One of the biggest influences is UV exposure. Australia has some of the highest UV levels in the world, which can accelerate wear over time. That’s why it’s especially important to choose a location with partial shade or natural protection, helping to extend the life and beauty of your Treenet.
Q4. Do treenet installations hurt trees?
No — when done correctly, Treenet installations are designed to be tree-friendly .
We take great care to protect the health and integrity of each tree involved in our builds.
We use tree-safe strapping, static rope, anchor points and wide-load distribution methods that allow the tree to continue growing and moving naturally without long-term damage.

The cost of a Treenet Platform can vary depending on several factors, including size, location, access, materials, and the specific vision you have in mind.
As a general guide, smaller projects start from $2,500 AUD, with pricing tailored to reflect the unique needs and preferences of each client.

SlackMate Weaves is located in The Illawarra Region, just 1 hour south of Sydney / NSW.
